Announcements
The 2026–27 Youth Academy year begins today, September 13, at 9:00 a.m.
Please steer clear of the walnut tree near the playground because of hazardous limbs overhead. The playground remains safe to use; please do not walk beneath the tree on your way there. When the tree is addressed, there may be an opportunity to observe the work and learn from the climbing arborists. Anyone interested should contact the elders for details.
The Men & Boys Camping Trip will be held October 2–4. For questions or to RSVP, please see Tim Stark.
Our fall church workday will be held October 10. We will complete general maintenance projects around the building and grounds using a list prepared by the deacons. The workday usually lasts about half a day.
If donating via envelope, write your name, address, amount, and check number (if applicable) on the envelope. Thank you!
Kitchen and cleaning supplies are needed. If you are able to donate, please reach out to Liz Bricker.
Thank you to everyone who faithfully serves our church through music, sound, greeting, security, leadership, maintenance, and many other ministries. Your gifts and service are deeply appreciated as you serve the Lord and His church.
Several free books are available in the foyer, including The Gospel Primer and a book by Dr. Thomas Johnston addressing Roman Catholicism. Additional copies of Dr. Johnston’s book may be available from Pastor Stephan.
A variety of Bibles are available in the foyer. Please take one if you need a Bible or would like to give one to someone else.
Remember to browse the books in the church library. Everyone is encouraged to check out a book and enjoy these helpful resources.
The Exaltation of Jesus
Let us not fail in the same way, but acknowledge Christ’s infinite value and worth, saying with the apostle John, “To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood and made us a kingdom, priests to His God and Father—to Him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen” (Revelation 1:5–6). May this constant confession inform all that we do.
For the week
Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs which God performed through Him in your midst, just as you yourselves know—this Man, delivered over by the predetermined plan and foreknowledge of God, you nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put Him to death. But God raised Him up again, putting an end to the agony of death, since it was impossible for Him to be held in its power.
View all 12 monthsQ. What benefits do believers receive from Christ at the Resurrection?
A. At the resurrection, believers become raised up in glory, shall be openly acknowledged and acquitted in the day of judgment, and made perfectly blessed in the full enjoyment of God to all eternity.
